Farmers' Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria has said giving permission for Bt brinjal will hit India's age old farming system. Bt brinjal will not only affect human health adversely but will also cast ill-effects on environment.

Need to change people s mindset : Meira Kuma
Workshop organised at Academy of Administration
Uplift of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes cannot be ensured by making laws alone and there is need to change people's mindset also. It is a matter of concern that a workshop is being organised for empowerment of these sections of society even 60 years after independence.

Govt Pumps Millions For potable water transportation
The State Government has accorded sanction of Rs. one crore 50 lakh five thousand to solve drinking water problem prevailing in districts of Rajgarh, Shajapur and Khandwa districts. Out of the sanctioned amount, a sum of Rs. 49 lakh 50 thousand has been released to these three districts as initial installment.
As per the break up, Rs. 24 lakh 50 thousand have been allotted to Rajgarh Collector. Of this, an amount of Rs. ten lakh would be further allocated to Biora, eight lakh to Khujner and Rs. six lakh 50 thousand to Machalpur. Similarly, out of Rs. 19 lakh 75 thousand allocated to Shajapur district, Rs. seven lakh 50 thousand to civic body of Maxi, Rs. one lakh 25 thousand to Soyatkala, Rs. six lakh to Badagaon and Rs. five lakh to civic body of Barod. Moreover, Rs. five lakh 25 thousand have been allotted for civic body Mundi in Khandwa district.
