CM Shri Chouhan addresses meet at Chhaktala in Alirajpur
With the aim of connecting masses with state's development during his 'Madhya Pradesh Banao Yatra', Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with his wife Smt. Sadhana Singh reached Chhaktala village in Alirajpur district today and right away interacted with the masses.
He visited development exhibition and inaugurated Rs 10 crore roads built under rural roads schemes. He said, 'I have come to ask villagers for something for state's development'. He also administered a resolve to them that every person in the state will discharge his responsibilities with honesty to ensure state's development.
This was the first day of Shri Chouhan's two-day visit to tribal-dominant Alirajpur, Jhabua and Dhar districts. Tribal Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister of State for Health and incharge minister of Alirajpur & Jhabua districts Shri Mahendra Hardia and Minister of State (Independent charge) Smt. Ranjana Baghel were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister told a mammoth gathering that he will never consider Madhya Pradesh as a developed state until all the people were rid of poverty. He said that he will never consider that the Madhya Pradesh of his dreams has come into being unless every field turns green and gets water for irrigation, agriculture becomes a profitable occupation, every child goes to school and every jobless gets employment.

He said, 'I want a prosperous and developed Madhya Pradesh.
This cannot be done by Shivraj Singh alone and everyone's participation is necessary in this goal.' He said that is why I have come here not go give anything but to ask for something. He said that a committee should be set in every village to work in tandem with the government to ensure development of the village. He said Madhya Pradesh will become developed when every villages is developed. He administered a pledge to villagers for becoming partners in the process of state's development.

Today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was seen in a new avatar. He was seen in the roles of a teacher, a social activist and a guide who seemed to be bent upon to connect everyone with the development of Madhya Pradesh
When a pagri was put on his head at Chhaktala village, he asked the people to keep the sanctity of this 'pagri' in mind by participating in 'Madhya Pradesh Banao' campaign. He said that Madhya Pradesh government is undertaking public welfare programmes everywhere in the state. Rs 100 per quintal bonus is being given on the procurement of wheat and now even maize and other coarse cereals will be not allowed to be sold at dirt cheap prices. Support prices for these cereals will also be announced. Processing units will also be set for coarse cereals.
He said that pattas are being given to tribal people on the lands which are in their possession up to December 2005. Shri Chouhan instructed the Alirajpur district administration to chalk out a plan for making the barren hillocks green. On this occasion, Shri Chouhan was informed that a farmer of Chhaktala village has earned Rs 90 thousand profit from half an acre piece of land.
He instructed Horticulture Department officials to develop species of fruit trees which can give more profit. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave away cheques to beneficiaries under Ladli Laxmi Scheme and self-help groups and distributed pattas under Forest Rights Act.
When Chief Minister turned a teacher
Whenever Chief Minister Shri Chouhan came across a school during his journey from Alirajpur to Jhabua districts, he paid a visit there. First of all, he interacted with the students of Pre-Matric Tribal Boys Hostel at Chhaktala. He inspected the syllabus and said that children will have to concentrate on studies if Madhya Pradesh is to be made a developed state.
He asked who was Sabri and who were Krishna and Sudama? With a view to giving a moral lesson, he also told the story of Sabri. He asked the children to do their works themselves and ensure cleanliness. Shri Chouhan visited Pre-Matric Tribal Boys Hostel in Punasa also.
Chief Minister visits agricultural field
Seeing a large well near Punasa in Alirajpur district, the Chief Minister asked his carcade to stop and went to see the well. He was informed that this well was dug under Kapil Dhara Yojana. He was informed that 9000 wells have been dug under this scheme in the district. Shri Chouhan also inspected the green crop swaying in the field. Shri Chouhan also inspected a public distribution shop in the same village.

While going from Chhaktala to Alirajpur, Chief Minister had a brief stay at Umrali village also. He exhorted the villagers to participate in 'Madhya Pradesh Banao' campaign. Here too, he administered an oath to people to do creative works for state's development.
In the attire of Chandrashekhar Azad
Shri Girish Bhatnagar, a sturdy youth from Bhabra, turned up at the public meeting at Chhaktala in the guise of Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad and recited Vande Matram. This filled the function with patriotic fervour. All those present kept standing so long as Vande Matram was recited. Alirajpur MLA Shri Nagar Singh Chouhan and Shri Kishore Sahai were also present on the dais.
