Bhopal:Friday, November 4, 2011
People are growingly coming forward to avail government services in Madhya Pradesh, which has been prompt and leading in implementing Citizen's Charter. With a view to making public service management more effective, the State Government has made available additional online service as well.
In the wake of increasing inclination of people towards this service, a total of three lakh 26 thousand 885 online applications were received by various government departments during the last six months. Remarkably, two lakh 81 thousand 623 applicants have availed benefit of government services within stipulated time-limit.

Pending cases are disposed of in two to three days

Yet another strong and important aspect of the strategy adopted for public service management is disposal of pending cases in just two or three days. It may be mentioned that action for public services is taken at three levels including the designated officer. As a result, an application is forwarded to the next level if it is not redressed within time-frame. Under this system, 2,646 applications have been redressed at various levels after expiry of stipulated time-limit while services were provided to rest of 28 thousand 610 applicants within two to three days.

Only erroneous applications are rejected

Wrong or incomplete information given in online applications becomes the only hurdle in their disposal. During the period, 5,064 applications were rejected due to having technical errors. Similarly, the number of incomplete applications was 8,948. Applicants have been urged to provide all required information vis-à-vis government services. This appeal has been made time and again by Minister of State for Public Service Management Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh.
